Momscode - Production Instance Setup
To configure the production instance in ERPNext, we need the following data:
- Company
- Chart of Accounts
- Warehouses
- Master Data
- Opening Balances/Opening Data
1. Company
To set up a company in ERPNext, need the following information:
- Company Name
- Registered Address
- Tax Details
- Abbreviation to be used in the system(it will be the suffix to Account heads, Departments etc)
- Financial year(Start date & End Date)
- Logo of the company
2. Chart of Accounts
To configure the Chart of Accounts (CoA), you can either use the standard ERPNext template or set it up based on custom requirements
3. Warehouses
For each warehouse, the following data is required
- Warehouse Name
- Parent Warehouse(Optional)
- Company
- Account Heads
4. Master Data
The following master data needs to be configured in the system
- User and the type of activity executing using the system
- Workflow details if any
- Item(Raw Material, Consumables, Asset, SFG, FG)
- Supplier and Customer including address details
- HR(Employee, Holiday List, Leave Type, Leave Policy, Leave Period, Salary Component, Salary Structure, Expense Claim Type)
5. Opening Balances/Opening Data
The following opening balances need to be entered in the system for accurate initial setup
- Opening Entries of Stock(Warehouse wise- Raw Material, SFG, FG, Consumables)
- Opening Entries of Accounts(Debtors, Creditors, Bank & Cash)
Note
- Master data templates should be shared based on Country of operation of the company, Type of operation(Service/Manufacturing/Trading)
- Opening entries of Stock- should be communicated to the customer based on the type of Industry.
